Thursday Cartoon Intro - TEDDY RUXPIN

If you were a kid growing up in the 1980s you probably had at least one friend that owned a Teddy Ruxpin talking doll. Or you owned one yourself. The Teddy Ruxpin doll always amazed me as a kid. How was he able to talk and move to whatever the tape cassette said? I'm sure many kids also tried to stick in a Michael Jackson or Madonna tape in the back too. You know who you are.

The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin cartoon came out only a year or two after the doll hit toy shelves in 1987. It had one of the catchiest theme songs ever. Something about it is just so soothing. The series lasted for 65 episodes. All of the episodes are currently available on DVD from Mill Creek Entertainment. If you're in the US, you can find Volumes 1 to 3 available for $5 at some of the Big Lots stores.
