The shape of things to come...

In a week from today I will be back on the road, driving north towards Canada. This week is looking pretty crazy so I probably won't have time for any updates. Here's a taste of some of the things I will be blogging about when I'm back in Canada in a couple of weeks...

Thundercats Remake Trailer

Well, Cartoon Network has finally released a trailer for the remake of the Thundercats cartoon. It gets me excited to see where the story is headed. Most of the trailer appears to take place on Thundera.

ON LOCATION: Halloween Myers House

Most people should be familiar with the Myers' House in Halloween. It's the setting of little Michael Myers' first killing and the stairs are also part of NECA's Michael Myers vs Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasance) action figure box set. The house is no longer in its original location (what the hell is up with these famous horror movie houses getting moved??? see TCM House) and is now situated right next to a set of railway tracks.

The only noticeable change to the house is the colour. The door is also a bit different, but not too much of a drastic change.

The house is now located at 1000 Mission Street in South Pasadena and is currently occupied by a financial company. Fans of the Halloween series should check out the house as it is right next to an area they shot downtown scenes for Halloween H20. It's also the same location that many scenes from the movie Step Brothers were filmed.

I didn't get a chance to go inside the house, but I'm sure the interior has changed quite a bit.

No Thursday Cartoon Intro

I just wanted to let fans of THURSDAY CARTOON INTROS know that there will not be a new cartoon intro for the next few weeks. I'm currently in the process of packing up my stuff and heading back to Canada. However, I will continue to update the site with other blog posts such as FAN ART FRIDAYS.

The Driver Q&A

For the month of January, Edgar Wright programmed almost an entire month of classic, cult, genre and obscure films at the New Beverly. I was lucky enough to attend one of those nights where he programmed Walter Hill's 1978 film, THE DRIVER. In attendance that night discussing the film with Mr. Wright were director, Walter Hill (The Warriors, 48 Hrs.), actor, Bruce Dern (The 'Burbs, Silent Running) and producer, Frank Marshall (Gremlins, Back to the Future).

For those of you who are fans of the movie or Walter Hill, below is most of the Q&A shot on my flip camera. Unfortunately, two big heads get in the way a little in some of the videos.
